On 8 February 2023, the 15th district round took place in Lanškroun, in the multifunctional centre L’Art.
AMAVET Festival of Science and Technology. About a hundred pupils and students from the districts of Ústí nad Orlicí and Svitavy presented their projects they had been working on. Among the evaluators was
Radko Martínek, former Governor of the Pardubice Region and Minister for Regional Development
Jan Pažin, who is the mayor of Choceň. Furthermore, the jury has also included for several years
our technical director Oldřich Brýdl.
The selected contestants advanced to the regional round, which took place on 16 and 17 March in Pardubice. In the Junior category 46 projects advanced to this round, in the High School category 23 projects advanced.
The evaluation committee decided that 17 projects from the Junior category will participate in a short-term study trip to France in cooperation with the Pardubice Region. 19 projects from the High School Student category advanced to the national final of the EXPO SCIENCE AMAVET competition, 3 of which went on to participate in the largest and most prestigious competition of scientific and technical projects for high school students in the world, Regeneron ISEF, held this year in Dallas, Texas, USA.
