Komfi with new products in the portfolio
Komfi is going to launch several new models this year. The Print Chef event was the perfect opportunity to preview them. The manufacturer has two new variants of the Amiga 52 laminator on sale from this year.
This is a tandem arrangement that allows an additional finishing module to be incorporated between the laminating unit and the separator. This is the result of the Amiga 52 Tandem Double laminating model, which was installed in the Print Point printer a year ago as part of prototype testing. “Testing under real operating conditions helped to fine-tune the new model. In testing, we were concerned with the user interface and feedback from people who work with the machine on a daily basis. We wanted to test different substrates and different types of production. During the testing, we closely monitored all the parameters of the jobs, i.e. especially the type of material and its thickness,” says sales manager František Šustr, describing the importance and results of the testing of the Amiga 52 Tandem Double laminator. Another novelty in Komfi’s offer is the Amiga 52 Tandem Emboss laminator with raster effect, which is increasingly in demand in the production of photobooks or in the packaging industry. The structured effect is printed into the laminating film according to the pattern on the rasterising roll. The advantage of the tandem arrangement is that the operator can very easily alternate between conventional single-sided lamination on the first unit and raster or double-sided
lamination on the second unit.
