Machine Characteristics
- Robust and powerful coating machine with high productivity and automation.
- Designed for high volume production in up to B1 size: double action feeding head, pallet-to-pallet operation and elements for quick adjustment of the machine to a new job.
- For AQ- and UV-Coatings including Primer.
Basic configuration
- Komfi double action feeding head for reliable high-speed sheets loading.
- Feeder enables to load pallet with paper stack.
- Double sheet detection sensor to prevent paper jams.
- Coating unit with 3-rollers application system.
- Air knife for reliable thin sheets run through the machine.
- Peristaltic pump for ink supply.
- IR heating unit including Hot Air fans helps for better flow of the UV varnish before curing to reach uniform coating layer, or to dry the coated layer when using the AQ varnish.
- Second curing unit according to type of varnish used: IR-Hot Air unit for purely water-based ink processing or UV lamp for both available applications (AQ+UV).
- Fully automated high pile pallet stacker.
SW functions included
- Sheet monitoring to protect sheets from damage.
- Built-in internet connectivity for service support.
Options
- Sheet preheater for good connection of ink and coating.
- Corona unit to increase coating flow and adhesion.
- Chamber-/Anilox metering system
- Sheet flipping unit to enable double-sided processing.
- Air ionizer for smooth sheet unloading and stacking.
- Extra IR-Hot Air unit to increase curing when running high speed. This unit is placed between first IR-Hot Air unit and second curing unit (AQ or UV).
